It's hard to see what you're doing as this area is small and unexposed. It truly wasn't easy for us, and we worry that parents will avoid washing the cover or won't attach the elastic loops.

Also, the trade-off for extra sturdiness is a bulkier and heavier base. When we compared the baby bouncers side-by-side, we noticed the bulk. However, it does fold, and the seat's size didn't impact use. It's just something worth noting if you're shopping for slimmer products due to space.
