Nicole Jordan: Artistic Director & Soprano
Nicole Jordan: Singer. Trinidadian-born, Canadian-bred soprano Nicole Jordan lives in Den Haag, Netherlands. A true Renaissance woman, “singer-scholar” Nicole holds an honours undergraduate Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Acadia University, Canada; a Masters of Music Psychology from Keele University, UK; and a PhD in Music Performance Studies from Sheffield University, UK. Nicole has been a freelance musician for over ten years, singing soprano with a variety of professional groups including The Nathaniel Dett Chorale, The Canadian Chamber Choir, the Orpheus Choir of Toronto, and the early music ensemble, The Harp Consort. Nicole has been heard on BBC and CBC radio and in 2003 received a Canadian Gemini award for her participation with the Nathaniel Dett Chorale in the documentary 'Carry Me Home: The Story & Music of The Nathaniel Dett Chorale'. Nicole is now embarking on the biggest challenge of her life: the launch of the production company OperaDans, whose mission is to combine stirring classical vocal music with contemporary and traditional dance in inspired and inspiring performances.
